Terms of use

BumpOrSlump watches publicly advertised Minecraft server player counts over time and compares the current few hours against what is normal for that server on that weekday and at that hour. Everything shown here is derived from those measurements.

This is a signal, not a diagnosis — dig deeper before drawing conclusions. Player counts move for many reasons we cannot see, and we make no promise that any verdict is accurate, complete, or up to date.

You sign in with Google or Discord. You must be old enough to hold that account under its own terms, and you are responsible for what happens under yours. Do not share it, and do not create accounts to get around a suspension.

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard, which also releases any servers you have claimed.

Anyone may submit the address of a publicly reachable Minecraft server, and we will begin recording its public status responses. We only read what any player's client would see when listing the server: player counts, and the MOTD.

Do not submit private addresses, addresses you have been asked to stop pinging, or anything that is not a Minecraft server. If you operate a server and want it removed from the site, email us and we will remove it.

To claim a server you must prove you control it, by placing a code we generate into the server's MOTD. Claiming grants you the ability to set that server's display name, description, and blurb on this site. It grants nothing else.

One account owns a server at a time. If you no longer run the server, release it. Claiming a server you do not control — or attempting to — is a violation of these terms.

Text you provide as a server owner must not contain:

• Sexually explicit material, or any sexualisation of minors.
• Slurs, hate speech, or content attacking people over who they are.
• Harassment, threats, or targeting of any individual.
• Illegal content, malware, phishing, or links intended to deceive.
• Impersonation of another server, person, or organisation.
• Spam, scams, or advertising unrelated to the server itself.

We run an automated filter over submitted text. It is a speed bump, not a guarantee, and passing it is not approval — everything remains subject to review.

We reserve the right to remove any server, any content, or any account, at any time, for any reason or no reason — including reasons not listed above. We may edit or remove owner-supplied text, undo a claim, hide a server from the site, or suspend an account, with or without notice.

If you think we got it wrong, email us. We read everything, though we cannot promise to reverse a decision.

The site runs without ads. Donations are voluntary gifts toward hosting costs. They are not a purchase, they buy no service, feature, or standing on the site, and they are not refundable.

The site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee it will be available, that measurements will be correct, or that data will not be lost. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on anything it says.

We may update these terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
